This plaque has been on the door of my bedroom for over 21 years now.
I've passed by it easily more than five thousand times,
thus heaping blasphemy upon the first and last lines;
the three in between I follow religiously though.

What a lovely one! 21 years? wow! I left home when I was 17 but sometimes I wish what would I see when I go back to my room from that that time. Those posters, the books, a dried rose in books - gosh! I feel like writing a post ;)
ReplyDeleteTechnically, I left at the end of the last century for my mbbs and after that always only landed up at home in between holidays. But I realized this plaque has always been on my door and I distinctly remember where and when I bought it. Found many books as well.. None of the old poster collection
DeleteInspiring. Maybe I will do one for my room now :D
ReplyDeletePlease do. It would be lovely to see.
DeleteYou made me chuckle - maybe, though, I do need something inspirational on my door.
ReplyDeleteWe could all use some beautiful words within eye sight on a regular basis, don't you think?
Deletewow 21 years!! that's amazing... Loved the lines... they are so beautiful and meaningful. Perfect to be placed outside a youngster's room.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree.. I put it there as a 14 year old kid. Its still there now as a reminder for me when I am 35
DeleteI love it. :D Thanks so much for joining in One-Liner Wednesday, Roshan!
ReplyDeleteWas a lovely concept... hopefully will be back for more :)
DeleteI love those words and it seems to me that you are following them, Roshan!
ReplyDeleteI certainly hope so...
DeleteHow cool. Walking past and reading such words can the day rolling into awesomeness:)
ReplyDeleteWe do need to put such inspirational quotes within eye view, I feel
DeleteI've always loved this quote. If only we live with these thoughts every day.
ReplyDeleteSo true.. if only it were that easy too
DeleteWow, that makes me think, I have never had one. Probably its time :-)
ReplyDeletedefinitely.. we could use some good mojo every day
DeleteIt is indeed a beautiful quote. I too have one at home (different quote). It really makes for a motivating read when leaving the home! :)
ReplyDeleteexactly... that's what we need
DeleteLovely quote - like having a constant reminder of how little time we have to do good and how we should make the most of it. You must have been pretty young when you put that up. I've never lived in the same place for 21 years.
ReplyDeleteI was 14.. and I have been all around the country since then. This has just remained on my door wall whenever I came back.
DeleteSo much said! A way to doing what you want! Inspired B)
