Because when good friends are around, even the bad times seem bearable. Life as a post graduate doctor in any hospital can be tough. You really need to have a strong support team in place to get through it.
It's been three years since the bloody juniors and I parted ways... I'm guessing in those three years, the people you see goofing around in this video have saved thousands of lives amongst themselves besides alleviating the pain of many more.
Author's note: This is my take on the theme 'Memories' for Write Tribe's Festival of Words 2.
This brought such a smile on my face, Roshan. I'm glad you docs have fun - important to keep your sanity in a high pressure profession as yours! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Corinne... yes, we do need to relax every once in awhile or our fuses will go "poof" .. even today, as a professional, the same still applies.
DeleteThat's a fab take on the prompt! Stored memories like these never fail to bring a smile and warm our hearts always! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Shilpa.. and I agree.. looking back on these, so many more funny incidents come to mind which would have been lost forever without the snaps.
DeleteAwesome video. College days are so much fun, no matter what your subject is!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, noted your love for food here too, for the nth time. May be you can use the same for 'food' post too :p :p
You have no idea... the number of buffets during exam tension, the number of cakes for any reason inside the department.. foodie was a small word ! :D
DeleteNice you co-related 'Memories' to Junior years :) ...We had our days too..First IT job..The excitement and fears :)
ReplyDeleteThey are some of the best memories during tough times :D
DeleteMy brother is completing his MDS. I never heard him say 'the bloody juniors'. Mostly, I have heard him say 'the bloody seniors'. I am happy you don't work together. :P Different take on 'Memories'.
ReplyDeletehaha... i think the first time we said it, it ws out of anger... then later, it became a standing joke and they themselves took it as their nickname.. :)
DeleteThat was a different take on the prompt. And made me remember my college days. :)
ReplyDeleteHope it was fun, Sheethal :D
DeleteMade me remember my college days too!! Of course, none of them are out there saving lives... but the goofiest ones are the most serious ones today with jobs, marriages and children! :)
ReplyDeletenice take on the prompt
haha.. life can really turn you around rt... i totally get it. some of the real weirdoes back in college are actual stars today.. i frequently say its a sign of the end of the world!!! :)
DeleteYou certainly seem to be enjoying yourselves but the hard work is certainly evident
ReplyDeleteTrust me... there was a lot of hard work, sleepless nights, blood, broken bones and tears as well... they just dont deserve to be a part of this video.
DeleteLovely take on the prompt Doc, loved it a lot
ReplyDeleteThanks... glad you liked it :D
DeleteThat was a pretty "unique" take on the prompt. Amazing. Loved it and like you say, those memories are to be cherished !
ReplyDeleteThanks.. they are cherished memories from awhile back...
DeleteGreat. How did you fish this one out?
ReplyDeleteThanks sir.. i made it a few years ago when i had just left... now, all have left for different parts of India and are saving lives across the country.

ReplyDeleteThank you.. glad you liked it.
DeleteThat is a peek into a day of a Doctor. You people work hard and also have fun. I have seen how tough is a life of a Doctor. My daughter, son in law and grand son, all three are docs. I have seen them laboring hard . They have very little time to relax.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling... it does get to you after awhile... we all need our breaks.
DeleteAwesome. This is the best way to relive the memories - videos and photos. Loved your post and thanks for sharing your video - made you real for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzy... its something I made just after leaving the place.. still laugh when I see it years later.
