In the old fairy tales,we're used to seeing the Princess getting her knight in shining armour against towering odds. I guess everyone at some level looks for that Prince and that Princess of old. Somehow in today's world though, finding him or her has become less of a consideration as opposed to other goals.. Love takes a backseat to a lot of unworthy successors, I feel.
Which is why I'm glad today. I witnessed my own HAPPILY EVER AFTER. Two of my friends from childhood,Arun and Suman, put an end to a long long courtship..and got married. These are two

For them perhaps, the fairytale is just beginning..or perhaps shifting forth to a new chapter. What I see as a "happily ever after" may indeed be their "Once upon a time.." but then there's a full life ahead of them to savour their love, fight their personal battles and come out victorious as they have today. And that's why even though their story has just begun, for me this is already HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
Guys, I wish you many more sweet memories along this journey. Noone deserves it today more than you two. Today, somewhere in the clouds, Cupid is patting himsef for a job well done. And he couldn't be more right.
I guess not all fairytales are by the Brothers Grimm anymore.
Every person on this earth has his/his own fairytale. Some get to live it early, some a little late! :)
